January 20 Don't ListenForgot to put this up... Had the picture taken a long time but keep forgetting to post it.
Was extremely tickled by a "poster" i saw when i went to my friend's family BBQ on christmas eve.... (the resolution is not too good thou)
Now, to translate and give the gist of the text...

What i say, you don't listen.
If you listen, you don't understand.
Don't understand, but don't want to ask.
If you ask, you don't do.
If you do, you do wrongly.
If you do wrongly, you refuse to admit it.
If you admit, you refuse to change.
If you change. you change with a grudge.
If you changed with a grudge, you don't don't tell me.
Sigh...life's hard isn't it?  The Day Ewey Gambled....Ewey went for her company's dinner and dance on the 4th of January but hasn't got any photos to show. Yet.
BUT in case she forgets everything, she decides to post up something rather exciting before she completely forgets.
 Held at the Singapore Turf Club... it was a night of masquerade and photo taking. Of cos the masks/hats were on only during photo taking session (which was like most of the time... we even forgot to eat!). And no, there was no hunky prince charming to speak of. Ewey just had a lot of fun with her friends... taking pictures and all. Ewey on the spur of the moment... took the opportunity to bet on the last race for the night and WON! Eighteen bucks. WAHAHAHAH! It was not the amount that was exciting... but the fact that it was the first time ewey bet on horse racing and at the same time... won! Woohoo!
So there, FIVE bucks investment = Eighteen bucks returns. That's the thing they call "Beginners' Luck" eh? January 14 The grand operationHad my bikey towed away on sat morning... he's got serious internal injury. Which will knock me back by $1000!!
Originally had plans to sell him away by end of the year but i guess the date has been brought forward. After evaluation, it makes more sense to let go now than to hold on in the event he gives me more problems and further depreciating the value. Current value will cover the repair cost and maybe i still can get a few hundred more.
Thus, I will proceed with the grand operation (and lose all that money) and proceed to put him up for sale asap.
It means i'll be bike-less in singapore... till i get my driving license and a car. Sigh... gone is my pampered life.

Well, maybe in the course of the year I've more often than not, felt that time was passing slowly. Too slowly.
But before i realise, the year was gone. Like.. whooooooosh!
*Tadah* No more 2007...helloooo 2008! Looking back 2007.... I realise that I've:
1. Bought more shoes than I did in 2006!!
 2. Finally got started on learning how to drive.
3. Kept my bikey and me accident free. *phew*
4. Made new friends.
5. Not kept my quick temper in check often enough.
 6. Learnt to accept the things i cannot change and live with it.
7. Not kept in contact with my friends as much as I would like to.
8. Finally fixed up the house with airconditioning & bought a new set of gorgeous looking sofa to replace the old & worn out ones
9. Brought my mum to Aussieland for a holiday
10. Quit smoking (not totally completely but I've kicked the habit of lighting up habitually).
11. Read more books
12. Continued to watch most movies despite losing my movie buddy
13. Laughed heartily. Often.
14. Fallen in love with Ichigo Kurosaki and remain in love with him (and Toshiro Hitsugaya
)15. Eaten plenty of japanese food
16. Bought myself a real skirt!
17. Learnt to take bus to work when it is raining heavily (instead of depending on taxis).
18. A tendency to be read like an open book.
19. Not gotten nearly enough sun.
20. Spent less money at Topshop/Dorothy Perkins but more money at Esprit! ARGH!
 Some good & some bad and some I'm not too proud of.... but i've learnt (again) that how you feel every day is really how you choose to react/think when you come across the good or the bad things. Sometimes you can be miserable even when it's a happy thing or you can make your happy be happier. Your choice really. (It's really not easy...)
Oh well... Cheers to a a bigger & better year ahead!
