    f*ck you too...

To the bloody idiot that pointed his middle finger at me this morning.... F**k you too!
I have something to say to you, you bloody useless rider...

    1) I value my life... it's not cheap like yours.

    2) It's not my fault that the SBS bus & the darn car decided to move closer to each other resulting in me having to brake in order to avoid being crushed

    3) If your legs are not long enuff to touch the floor to balance yourself completely... dun ride a scrambler. (YES, i saw you wobble and try not to fall from my mirror).

    4) Dun follow so closely if you do not have the capacity to brake in time... and dun point your middle finger at me you blooming asshole! (the 2 riders behind me din seem to have a problem with stopping in time and they did not point any middle finger at me.)

    5) I'm sure you were born with eyes in front and not at the back of your head.... so watch the traffic in front, stupid.

    Dad's car kenna "langa"...

Hiaz... dad called mum earlier on. His taxi kenna "langa" (read: knocked into) by another car. I came back from dinner with my mum to see his taxi parked downstairs.... and i think it looks quite scary. Fortunately dad is alright....

Imagine if i was the one who got knocked into... considering the fact that I am "human wrap metal"... I'll fly to the land of the spirits manz!

    In one piece...

Was in Ginny's car on Saturday when I almost got a heart attack... cos she was following another car quite closely and i saw that 2 cars ahead had suddenly slowed down and stopped and everyone in front was stepping on their breaks. And my dear Ginny was not stepping on anything to slow that darn car down. Of cos i went into major panic and went... "slow down slow down!!!".

Ewey: "Oie! I value my life can? I still wanna go home...."

Ginny: "hehehe... no worries no worries, I'll make sure you go back in one piece (pause for a sec), and breathing!"

That obviously got me laughing becos she is so right! Thus the next time someone says, they will make sure you get back home in one piece... please make sure they add the part about breathing.

No point going back home in 1 piece but not breathing... wouldn't you agree?

    Sleazy Massage?

    26/02/07
Where i went: Teo Chew Meng Reflexology & Beauty Centre
Where it is located: #03-K76/K77/K79/K80, People's Park Complex (S)059108

Never thought i'll one day visit a place like that... always thought of them as frighteningly low-grade, mediocre, shoddy, sleazy, terrible, trashy, trumpery, tawdry, seedy, shabby & wretched. But despite all that, everytime i pass by one of these "health care centres" I'd always wonder how it will be like....

And as luck would have it, i met a fren last nite to pass her something and she dragged me to go for a massage cos she was aching all over. Out of my niceness and curiousity, i went with her and tried it out loh.... (considering the fact that the pre CNY preparations and baking and all got my back all knotted up as well).

    My verdict:
    1) Letting an uncle do foot reflexology is ok but it sure feels damn weird letting them massage your back.  I know that there is definitely some level of professionalism but c'mon la... men will always be men (whether i'm fully clothed or not!). *muahahahah*

    2) In terms of pampering yourself, i think i still stick to those spa things like Amrita Spa, Spa Botanica etc...  Reason being: a) Though in terms of cost it is extremely steep... but better to know you are in good hands than to be uncomfy (maybe even get more knots after that siah..). b)in terms of set up... these health care centres have the bare minimum... I'm not saying it is not clean or watever, but truth be it.. I was wondering how many people have put their face in that hole (where you put your head into when doing back massage), and how clean it was.

    3) If you are on a shoe-string budget, then go ahead and try it as it is value for money. I paid $25 for 30mins back massage and $15 for 30min foot reflexology.

    Junlong comes to BAI NIAN...

24/02/07: my dearest most adorable godson came to visit today....

I was in the kitchen preparing the cookies and new yr goodies for their grand arrival (MinMin, Erjie and Junlong) when i heard his cute little shoes squeaking away... He sure is walking very steadily these days.

Anyways, as usual.. he was afraid of murphy. But typical of any kid, he was still curious so he will keep walking towards murphy (who just couldn't be bothered with anything...sleeping happily in his cage) to peep at him. And the cutest part was, he will put his hand at his chest (action of being frightened) each time he takes a look.

And then he will run off towards his mum!! That was just so fun to watch....

It's amazing how fast he is growing up thou... and those dimples of his when he smiles! Gosh.... melt my heart!!!!!! *muahahahha*

Reunion Dinner... The Spread of food

Muahahaha! As mentioned in an earlier blog, here's the pictures of the food we had last nite (of which 3 were cooked by me, 1 by dad & 1 by mum...).

Simple fare only... but no pictures of humans cos, we are afterall at home and look absolutely horrendulous! *hahahah*

    The "after" photos...

After weeks of cleaning/scrubbing/mopping and watsnots... here's some shots of my home!

    My Favourite Mushroom

Those who know me, will realise that i get unusually excited when it is nearing CNY.

Nope, it is not because i look forward to the cleaning/brushing/wiping/baking and watsnots.... it's the pot of stewed mushrooms that my mum will cook ONLY when it is CNY and thus i only get to eat it during CNY. (And did i mention that she ABSOLUTELY refuses to teach me how to cook it... "something to remember me by" she says.. ARGH!!!)

Anyways, earlier on I managed to take a picture of that delicious pot of mushrooms (before it gets wiped out by the whole family)..... *drools as I think that in 2 hours, i'll be having it during reunion dinner!!!!*

Once again, the sister gets bullied...(so did the bro!)

Locked my sister out yesterday nite when she walked out to throw rubbish...

Nuff' said... check the picture out!

** 18/02/07 Update: Bro got it too! Muahahahah!!!!!!!

    Valentine's Day 2007

Yeah yeah... not my valentine's day. Yet to have met mine...  Anyways, i was off at work on this lovely day when my sister called me to tell me stories of what was happening at home. To put it shortlyit was all nice and sweet... between my parents of cos!

Dad came back in the morning bearing the soft drinks for CNY.... and he was happily carrying an entire carton of a bottles of coke light and happily chirping that kids like chinese new year cos got goodies and mummy like CNY cos got alot of soft drinks!! (coke light is cos my mum is slightly diabetic and thus does not take any more REAL soft drinks). Obviously sister heard everything and felt it was quite sweet.. (incident number 1).

Sis went downstairs with dad for breakfast and some neighbour was talking abt how his wife is always unhappy and my silly dad (straightforwardly) said, "Hiyah.. Simple! You must hug and kiss your wife la!!!" Once again, sister felt extremely entertained... (incident 2).

So sis went out to help me buy sugar thereafter and decide to reward my seemingly old fashion dad (who knew it was Valentine's Day but did not get anything fanciful for mum) -Lesson learnt: no flowers and fanciful things dun mean your other half dun love you ok! Anyways, sister bought a small little cake + a stalk of tulip for my dad to give to my mum. (Mum was typically brisque abt the whole thing but my guess is, she knows that my dad loves her despite the fact that they often have clashes and quarrels due to character differences).

Here's some shots (my mum refuse to take picture so the only thing that was recorded down was my dad holding her hand and cutting the cake together...).

    Spring Cleaning 2007

It had been a hectic month... every weekend was spent cleaning, packing, climbing, wiping, sweeping, mopping, washing, replacing... and for the past 2 weeks, it was accompaied by weighing, stirring, mixing, beating, cuting, and finally baking. And the very recent weekend, quarrelling was included as well! (not me!! It's my sis & my bro ok!)

But despite all that, it's all good... we've finally got our lazy asses moving (after we have no idea how many years...) and got started on cleaning.

For many years, it's been a case of:

    - "Eh, clean the surface can already la... dun open the cupboards/drawers." (open already gotta spend about TWENTY FIVE years clearing.... out of sight, out of mind. )

    - "Goodness, the cabinet/cupboard/drawer is falling apart... look at the bottom, the wood is crumbling hor? ...hmmm, never mind la.. can use can already." (and we just reduce opening the cabinet/cupboard/drawer unnecessarily)

    - "Eh, let's just put all these in a carton box and when we have the time, we'll buy a cupboard/drawer and repack these in...." (and the boxes stay in one corner of the room for the longest time....)

    - "Oie...soft toys look super dusty leh, take go wash. But not now, put in plastic bag and put one side first...." (and we'll forget abt it till a yr later! )

Anyways, I decided i need to keep these little memories of us at work (since it is so rare....) and in the midst of all the mess, i grabbed my cammy and snapped away!

Scenario 1: My bro being the MAN tat he was... helped my mum fix up a chest of drawers we bought for her 2-3yrs ago (and she kept it inside the darn storeroom till now simply becos the area where the drawers were supposed to be, was not cleaned up [ref to carton boxes theory above]). It was just sweet (and silly) seeing how he tried to figure out how to get it fixed up.

Scenario 2: I was busy cleaning up mum's room for her so din have chance to bake my cookies and so my sister took the dough i've prepared and helped me with it.... but she was throwing me the dirty look everytime i walked past her. It was a consistent look ok!! The phrase is "if looks can kill, I'd have died a few times already!"

    Dinner with Jessamine Balakhrisnan

See wat i mean when i say i am eating so much i am bursting my pants?

Argh... but all in a good cause of cos! Muahahah.... I will start to do something about it after CNY!

Becos our dearest Bala decides that she wanted to eat pepper crab... and to eat it at coffee shop rather than pay ridiculous amt of $ eating it at restaurants, we headed down to one of the "Hongkong Street" chain of "zhi char" to eat delicious crab and order other stuff like Youtiao (fried fritters with fish cake). Everything was super yummy... ooolaalaa!

Anyways, the highlight of the day was still the new name Waiyi given Har Cheong Gai (deep fried chicken with prawn paste). Here's the following conversation:

Bala: "What's the Har Cheong Gai thingy you guys ordered?"
(Everyone started to ask her how can she NOT know the dish... which Bala responds by saying she dun usually eat out and even if she does she goes for western food blah blah blah...)

Ewey: "eh i c..anyways, itz just some fried chickeny thingy... hiyah, trust me la... it's nice wan!"
(of cos, i completely forgot how to describe it therefore i just try to wriggle my way out of explaining it..)

Priscilla (coming to my rescue) : "It's fried chicken with prawn paste la..."

    Bala: "Ahhhhh.... fusion food!"

Waiyi: "yes yes, fusion food... it's called "Guy De Har Cheong".

    *Everyone faints*

What follows was a silly conversation about going in to western restaurants and ordering "Guy De Har Cheong".... etc.

Oh well, the madness of the people i know....

Celebration lunch for my boss @ Pu Tian

Been eating so much i think i am going to burst my pants!!!

Think i gained weight again... not that i can afford it you know? I keep telling myself, i'll do something about it after Chinese New Year... muhahahaah!

Anyways, I was fortunate enuff to enjoy a treat from my new boss for her promotion (which actually happened last yr - Aug 06). The whole treat thing was postponed and postponed from Aug 06! Can die loh... but honestly speaking, i really do like my current working environment very much. The colleagues are all darn nice... and easy to get along. Makes me want to pamper them occasionally cos they are just so lovely to be ard with.

here's some pictures of my team... and the food of cos.  (thou a colleague mentioned i shd try to take the pictures before it is wiped out next time! But i also want to eat one wat! It's silly enuff to be whipping my camera out every few mins.... much lest tell pple not to take th e food first cos the professional trigger-er wants to take the pictures of food?).

    My Poor Hair

Went to snip off all my dead curls yesterday nite...

My hair breakages has been so high recently... until my dad asked my mum if i was sick can!!!!!

After many months of trying to keep my hair longer (as compared to my Dragon Ballz days), i was actually quite happy to look so rather GIRL! But as of last nite, itz all gone!!! Original intention was just to trim & colour my hair... but end up, even my stylist felt that it's best to cut it all off cos my split ends are not just at the ends can!!!!! Itz in the middle of nowhere!! URGH!!!!

But honestly, now i do feel that my hair is back to normal (seriously considering if i EVER want to perm my hair again). Now, i look quite rather happening again! YAY! Red and blonde streaks + wispy layered hair which i can style and look wind blown.... wakakaka!

    To a brand new year!

    Chinese New Year Preparations

    Am recently on a highhhh...

BAKING! Hahahah.... I baked Horlick cookies last weekend (i thought i was quite original until Felicia said it is a been there done that thing! ARGH!) and I gave it all to my colleagues! 1 bottle for my team and 1 bottle for the PD5&8 team.

Just went to Sembawang to buy the ingredients for another weekend of baking... Heehee! What's on the menu?
    1) Almond cookies
    2) Peanut cookies
    3) Cornflake cookies

Wanted to try making pineapple tarts but I think i shall give my mummy $18 to buy a bottle from Prima Deli (too much trouble!!!)

The only problem i am facing now is that my stupid oven is tiny... at any one point, only 25 small little cookies can be baked. Which basically means, each batch of cookies takes me at least 3-4 hours to bake! WTF... I NEED A NEW OVEN.

I get so high when i see those huge-ass ovens (inbuilt kind).... but oh well, that will come when i feel abit richer! Muahahah!
