June 30 Joan's TitusOk... I am a BAD sister.
My sister is approaching 23 years old... and i owe her a birthday pressie for her 21st birthday.
.... The year she completes her move into adulthood. :p
Am mighty glad i finally got it done! *phew*
And i'm only about 19months late!! Hahah....

These are the things that make my day... it's so suddenly funnie. June 24 Mini Me-s Of The World....A colleague gave us some rice dumplings yesterday.... had the time of my life laughing when he whipped it out of the plastic bag!
It's like.... so cute.

btw... it's actually rather tasty. :p June 20 Blardy ConfusingI have a thing for english though i'm really quite rather bad at it. No one would believe i used to attempt to major in ENGLISH AND ENGLISH LITERATURE. At which point i will calmly tell you... it was an ATTEMPT.
I gave up after 2 yrs.
Anyways, as i was saying... i suck at my vocab. As in... SUPA LIMITED. AND I speak like the true blue singaporean that i am... with my la-s and my loh-s... and pretty dang proud of it.
So.......... In a vain attempt to improve my ever diminishing vocab... i subscribe to Merriam-Webster's Word of The Day. It's been a few years since and my vocab still suck (ref to above).
Anyways. a strange inspiration hit me today.... i decided to see what rubbish i've accumulated over this period of time.
... and realized (to my horror) that I've collected 398 (and counting) interesting words in a WOD folder in my mailbox and none in my puny memory. Sigh...
But I digress...
Why this entry? Becos i got blardy confused by the word of TODAY!!!

erhhhhhhhh... HAAAAAAAH?!
 What ya mean by "negative of the contrary" and what in the world is do you mean when you say "understatement in which an affirmative..."???
 Sometimes I swear some words are really out of this world!!!! - The problem is that i cannot remember them!

June 18 My coloured spectacles...I have a pair of coloured spectacles... and it is blue right now.
Did you ever sit down and watch people and wonder? About things in general... Because i realise that while i was on the bus this morning, i found myself looking at everyone... and wondering.
... What's their story?
Do they have a sad story to tell? Or a happy one?
... How about a ridiculously drama worthy history?
The teenage girl with the sullen face... was she just being "I'm not a morning person" or did something miserable happen?
How about that annoying loud talking uncle sitting behind me? Annoying... yes. Sad... maybe.
And that chap sitting in front facing the rest of the bus... did he feel miniscue? Was he wondering if people are staring at him? He seems to be looking into space.... was he pretending to look into space so he doesn't have think?
And that gorgeous girl with baby smooth skin? Did she suffer from low self esteem? Or even a sad break up 2 days ago?

We need all the strength we can get. June 10 My indulgence - Japanese foodIkoi Japanese Restaurant... a renowned restaurant for jap buffet. I've read some reviews of it... some good and some bad and some... downright insulting!
Fact of the matter is... selection may be limited (hello!!! U think it's so easy to please everyone?! Not nice... go somewhere else la!) and some stuff may be really inferior to the true blue japanese restuarant (where you pay ala carte), but hey... most importantly, the sashimi is fresh, the free stuff are mostest delicious, and gosh... unlimited tempura can????? So when the opportunity arise (Welton's birthday on 14th June)... I decided to have dinner there!!!
 What better way to celebrate than to pamper ourselves with food?

The midjoint wings and yakitori is so-so only. So that was our only order...
Wah! Very nice.... teapot soup! LoL... some people find it fishy (i think my mum will hate it) but i love the taste... tangy (after you add the lime) salty soup. (actually welton posed for a picture of him squeeing the lime into the pot but i think his hands are not MODEL material... so nah...forget it. Kekekeke...
 )Sashimi... my stomach is ready for sashimi anytime! and i mean.. ANYTIME! Especially if it is unlimited! *muahahaha*

A tiny little bowl of fried udon... it's springy and delicious. I think it bounced right into my tummy! *boing boing boing*
Complimentary salmon Kaminabe (restuarant very smart... use the leftover bony areas of the salmon to make soup, and give to the customers. No wastage and make everyone happy). - sidetrack: I risked my life to take this picture! The fire from below was practically licking at my fingers!
New discovery... the first plate that came, we ate it too fast. Din manage to take any picture... so i ordered 2 of every type and refused to let birthday boy eat it until i am satisfied with the picture. Above from left: Tomato Bacon Maki, Cocktail (sausage la... sausage...) Bacon Maki and Kani (crab... crabstick i mean) Bacon Maki. I think i still prefer Enoki Bacon and Asparagus Bacon rather than those here... but hey, logic is, BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!
And i almost forgot to take picture of the .... possibly 20th plate of prawn tempura!
