Gotten myself a new hairdo! curly hair is so not me... considering the fact that i've got like super straight hair pretty much all of my life. When i have straight hair, everyone asks if i rebonded my hair but hey! My straight hair au naturel can?! *grins*

Well, anyways... there goes straight flat limp hair... had myself a perm yesterday. Muahahah... i think i look quite girl now. but it's all a deception of cos! Am trying my darnest to get use to it but still get a shock each time i looked into a mirror.

    Overall, I think i...

    3) look quite silly at the same time

    will upload my pictures soon...

Have a thing for oxymorons... i think it is like one of the most brilliant things ard. Contradicting words.... just like me.
Gracious Bitch.... Muahahaha!  Well, maybe not gracious bitch.... but ya, i think most people will agree that i look like a punk on the outside but am a marshmellow on the inside. All sugar and spice and all things nice... *grins*

Ok ok... shant praise myself all the time. People say that Self praise is international disgrace... and in this case... i think i am disgracing all my dearest frens!

    Here's my list of oxymorons....

act natural, anarchy rules, almost exactly, arid ocean, constant variable, definite maybe, detailed summary, diverse stereotypes, dry ice, elevated subway, exact estimate, found missing, forced resignation, forever's end, forward lateral, friendly fire, genuine imitation (& genuine replica, etc.), guest host (and permanent guest host, a rare "triple" oxymoron), instrumental song, jogging stroller, justifiable paranoia, limited omniscience, liquid gas, living dead, local long-distance, loud silence (& deafening silence etc.), mandatory option, modest magnificence, only choice, open secret, original copy, plastic silverware, rolling stop (driving), scatter-hoarder, solid gold plated, stopmotion, sweet sorrow, synthetic natural gas, true lies, virtual reality, wireless cable, working vacation....

    Five Minutes

Five minutes.... that was all it took for me to fill up a big packet of blood.

Donated blood today. The process took five minutes. (Process being: Poke needle in, blood flow...fill up packet). But the entire ordeal took a good 1.5hrs.

First we had to register and fill up a form... answering questions like, have you had sex with a partner you've known for less than 6months? have you received payment in kind for sex? Quite interesting questions... it almost seems that celibacy is the new black! Haha...

Secondly, we had to see a doc... so the doc can ask you the same questions that the questionaire did... verify and sign on your form. Then we have to get some blood taken (itz that stupid staple thing that tacks your finger and you get ONE spot of blood) in a tiny tube and dropped into a beaker of solution to test if you have enuff iron. If your blood sinks... u can proceed to round 3.

Third round... sit and wait. Wait for people to vacate their chair (after they fill up their blood) but that is the longest wait. Some people's veins are too small... so they waited forever, the health officers will try and try and try... and 20 mins later, they give up trying. Thatz when the disappointed do-gooders will vacate their chair.

Well, overall i'm ok with donating blood... just that the process really takes too long.

Anyway, I miss my Uncle Tan. He was a regular blood donor.... I'm sure many have received his blood and help in his living years.

    Trip to Taipei

Just came back from a 4 days Taipei trip. If you ask me, I wun go back to Taipei again.

In general, it was boring... architectually, buildings are in a mess. At least shanghai had beautiful buildings and lovely landmarks. In Taipei. buildings seem to sprout out from everywhere. Quite messy actually...

Went to memorial halls, museums etc... (somebody says YAWN!). It was not all that bad but history of taiwan/china.... ?? I know nuts abt it. *haha* Well, the only nice place i went to was Jiu Fen. It was higher up in the mountains... better scenery, better air and the streets were quite interesting.

Got dragged by the tour guide to a couple of "seminars"... they have seats, make you sit down for a talk to tell you the benefits of lingzhi (to think the tour guide said, he is bringing us to experience the lifestlye of the aborigine tribes of taiwan...*pui*) and etc.

Oh well, in general.... taiwan has lots of interesting food but nothing more. Clothes and shoes and etc are rather expensive (starting from a minimum of $20 for clothes and about $60+ for jeans. Quality is not fantastic... i can get better and nicer ones in singapore for the same price or abit more. Furthermore, the whole point of shopping while on tour was to buy things that are cheaper than in singapore. So there... not much of a haul for me. Bought loads of rubbish food back thou.... metal eggs (quail eggs that have been cooked and cooked for a few days... quite nice actually), guo3 dong4 and pineapple tarts. Haha.... plenty for my family to eat.

Anyway, it was interesting but not interesting enuff. I'd rather go to Shanghai, Beijing and etc.... den back to Taiwan again.

Check out my album for a collection of the pictures.

Till my next blog... time to zzzzZZzzzz..

Who the hell do you think you are?!

Had a bad day.... a certain individual treated me like rubbish. Spoke to me like I was an idiot...
And not to mention, based on inititial survey, RUDE as hell. Triggered of another one of my silly train of thoughts...

    1) I will respect you as an individual only if you learn to respect me as one.

    2) I will look at you when you are talking to me, only if i think you deserved to be looked at.

    3) No, you do not say "LOOK AT ME WHEN I TALK TO YOU...." when talking to mere aquaintances.

    4) If you choose to behave in a way such as "my job is my job, your job is your job".
Then sure... the perimeters are set.

    5) Do not talk loudly when you are around me and expect me to be paying attention.
I have better things to do than to listen in on every single conversation that is floating around.

    6) If you are talking to me, and expect me to action on something,... talk to me.
    Not to the general surrounding.

    7) I will not turn my head to respond every time you mutter my name.
Especially when I am doing something or when i am on the line.

    8) When i am talking on the phone, don't expect me to pay attention to you when you appear at my desk.
I respect the person on the other line. Talk to me later. You will not die if you wait for another 5-10mins.

    9) Be productive, do not make people do double work. Especially if you already know the details.

    10) Being older do not necessarily mean you have the right to be rude... Ref to point one.
