I tell you... Saree is like THEEEEE most difficult thing to wear loh!!! LoL...

 

And i've exposed wayyyyyyyyy tooooo much fats! HAHAHAHHAHA!!!

 

Oh well....... I'm fluffy and happy.

 

WAHAHAHHA! Here's entry three in the same day!!!

 

Anyhows, dad dragged us out across half the country to have breakfast on sunday morning... (note: remember i had a busy busy saturday!!) and i was like... "i want to sleep!!!"

 

But once i reach there.... the eating monster in me woke up!!!!! LoL...

 

Really quaint (if u can call it quaint) kopitiam @ Rangoon Road serving rather delicious (but very expensive) Bah Kut Teh. I heard it's famous (and they have like a little stove @ the side for the kettle for the tea!!! - just like the ones i had in KL...) and stef recommended it to me before. So there...

 

BTW, this breakfast kept me full till 9pm that night!!!!!!!!! *faint*

 

So... after my almost traumatising experience @ Little India, i rushed home to rush out to SOOOOOOOOO-DARN-FAR Seletar Country Club for Addy's Starry Starry Night wedding!

 

so pretty hor? :p (1st picture stolen from her FB!) - Oh, i'm super tickled by the standee at the reception table!! (din manage to take a picture of the groom one but hey, i like the idea!)

Anyways, I had a good time catching up with some long time ex colleagues... and taking pictures with them (and it so happens it was Russ's birthday... so i had every excuse to accost him!!! LoL!!!)

 

VERY eventful weekend i  tell you!!!!

 

First it was to Little India to buy the stuffs for D&D (it's tonight by the way, so when photos are up! i will load it... I am wearing a SAREEEE! LoL...)!!!

 

In all honesty... i've never ventured there (for reasons i cannot talk abt lest i get sued. You never know what can happen....), until Ginny dearest said we shd just go for an adventure to buy the things i need!!! HAHAH!

 

Little India was packed to the brim!!! Itz the weekend before deepavali can?! Anyhows, it was a great experience!!! :p Anyways, i love indian food... or shd i say, i love spicy food so... i can have curry anytime! So after the jostling and pushing, we ventured to have some food before we rush off again (and i obviously forgot to take pictures of the food until we were half done!!! So pardon the mess!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!)....

- in case u were wondering: it was chicken brayani! *HAHAHA*

 

And oh, check out the look on ginz face!! I filled her drink to the brim and challenged her to drink without spilling... (of cos she HAD to burst out laughing and spill!!!)

And yeah, she forgot to take picture of her food too!!!

F.I.N.A.L.L.Y met up with the zm girls.... for lynn's pre-birthday celebration.

Everytime i see them, i am thankful i left the industry! LOL!!! And for the first time, NO ONE IS DRUNK! (me excluded of cos. I only drink ale. Ginger ale. *hahahha*)

 

Still it was great fun (obviously i was the one talking the most and laughing the loudest la!!!)!!

 

Started off the night with Jeinyi and Ah fang @ South Bouna Vista's dunno wat village @ the yummiest japanese place! SASHIMI GALORE CAN?!?!!?? *slurp*

I've to say sashimi was great.... really yumz!!

 

and the ice-cream was just as yummy... we had to have 2. And we had some more just becos.... it was YUM! *LoL*

 

After all the waiting (was meeting the birthday girl @ like 9ish!!) we headed off to Fashion Bar @ Clarke Quay (i tell you!! I super suaku (read: mountain tortoise!!), i simply din know where was where loh!!! Good thing i had someone to follow... if not, am pretty sure I'll drowned by the crowded. (of all things, lost in clarke quay. How funnie loh... *roll eyes*)

 

So, Lynn... the birthday girl (10 days before mine. And we're like celebrating early 10 days before hers!) and Amy (who is recentlly made a MRS! FINALLY!!! SOMEONE TO WHIP HER INTO SHAPE - so cute!! *double LOL*) 

 

and let me introduce.... the 2 manja queens... Ah Ying and Celia.

 

Just one of those really boring post. Becos i am bored. shitlessly bored.

 

It's like... nothing is interesting. 

 

I have nothing to do and nowhere to go.... den again, it's not that i have nothing to do & nowhere to go. I can go out but i dun wanna spend any money by going out.

 

So it boils down to no money????

 

Hmmm... actually my pay came in early this month. but i dun wanna spend it now lest i have to start eating grass before the clock strikes November.

 

So i guess it boils down to no savings... cos if i have savings, i will be able to go out and spend money without worrying that i start eating grass before the november.

 

But den again, even if i have money, i dun feel like doing anything. Not that i have nothing to do really... it's just that nothing interest me. I've got some TVB drama waiting for me to complete but i dun feel like watching it. i've got clothes to wash but i dun feel like doing it. oh...and ironing! I have ironing to do. But i just dun feel like it.

 

What is wrong with me man!?  

 

Kudos to Jess for being a good sport (after ALOT of nudging, proding, and irritation of cos)

 

Met the silly girl for dinner last friday and she wanted to get some stuff for her friend's hen party... and finally settled on the feather boa. (In between, i was like... try this happening hat!) And den happily took a picture...

And somehow, she managed to referred to the feather boa - cookie monster... Quite mad loh.

 

Jess: " oh... cookie monster has been killed" (at this point sales person was cutting that 1 metre we wanted and some of the feather was like flying ard)

Ewey (entertained): "eh..... LoL."

 

And while we were walking out of the shop...

 

Jess: "... is like, she got cookie monster wrapped around her neck."

Ewey (still very entertained): "eh...... LoL"

 

.... why mahjong is good for you.... *LoL*

 

Went to the nursing home to visit my grandpa and was quite captivated by the sight of 6 grandpa-yish uncles playing mahjong - 2 spectators, 4 players (and 4 are in wheelchair ok!). And trust me... their cards are the steady kind!

 

So what if their hands are shaky and they are unable to walk? They are still 清醒 (read: have a clear mind) loh!!!!

 

It was just one of those days... where sis got bullied by the younger brother.

 

 

And he looked so indignant... like, "WHY CANT I CHOP HER BACK!?"

 

 

Yay! It is official! I am too old for my own good.... *sniggers @ self*

 

............... It's one thing going to colleagues' get-togethers and see like a tonne of kids. It's another to suddenly realise that alot of my sch friends are mums/dads.

 

Went for so many weddings couple of years back i tot i was going to go mad if i see another cold dish.... den came the baby showers, followed by the first birthday parteees....  

 

That being said.... it's still quite a delight to see another joker join the bandwagon!

... caught in a traffic jam and about to chew my own fingers off from boredom, I received a mms from a Cang....

with the following message... "Damn loser right? Whoever vandalise can't tell the difference between cock n cork! Or maybe he just really like woody bits..."

 

Heehee... I dunno about you but the woody bits part really cracked me up.

 

It's fun to have random friends who makes strange comments. Makes my day. *dances a lil*

 

Since we are on the topic of food.... :p I've been meaning to put this up for the longest time but haven't had the opportunity!!

 

You know how it is that you always go specific places with different groups of friends????

 

Now this group (Aple, Celia and Pris) and i always end up going for steamboat dinners.... And always at Xian De Lai along Liang Seah Street! (We tried venturing to Chong Qing @ Suntec but decided to come back to Xian De Lai eventually... ). The spread is typical of steamboat buffet places (i think) but there's just ONE thing i have to mention!!! It's the yummy fried chicken they serve before they pour the soup in (the spicy part)... i am completely in love with it. Only thing is... THERE'S ALWAYS NOT ENUFF TO GO ROUND!!!

 

Side note: I really soooooooooooooooo miss the 羊肉火锅 in Shanghai!!!!!

 

Was out shopping with family when i saw this really cute romper...

Had to buy it even though i have no baby of my own!!!

 

So i decided to give it to a newly discovered friend at work. So here's her son looking ernest/ly willing to work for milk.

The blood mobile came to our neighbourhood yesterday so sis & i went down to do some good after breakfast. Due to some incident, sis & i had a discussion after... which made me wonder....

 

When you give to the society... does that make you bigger and better than the rest of the people? If the nurse accidentally hurts u and caused you to have a huge bruise (cos cannot find ur artery/hit some vein walls and caused some internal haemorrage), will you throw a huge hissy fit? Or just try to be nice/tolerant about it? Afterall, I'm sure the nurse din mean to hurt you....

 

Maybe i'm naive, maybe i'm not. Cos I can be a complete bitch when i get superbly bad service and i can be super nice about other things. (in other words, can do ANGEL to BITCH in five seconds. It is a skill. ) But i seriously don't understand how come people can think they are GOD just cos they contributed some to the society. Like some rich people who donates some money and thinks they have every right to be pompous, rude and behave like the whole world owes them. Or even just those who think they are of a higher class than people just because they have abit more money, live in a bigger house and watsnots....

The evolution of friendships…

 

It’s a really strange thing. This thing we call friendship.

 

Was at an old friend’s son’s first birthday party yesterday… and we were just kinda counting like how many years we’ve known each other.

And to my horror, it’s been 16 years… That’s like more than half my lifetime already.

 

Then I felt a slight piercing pain. For I’ve lost many a friend in this lifetime. Misunderstandings… and god knows what other strange reasons.

 

I’ve sure we’ve all come to realize that in the issue of friendships, you’ve really got to put in effort to maintain it and to keep it.

 

Some people drift apart because of differences in characters, some people drift apart because of differences in locations, some people drift apart because of their other halves, and some people just do.

 

The evolution of friendship:

 

Strangers à friends à acquaintances à strangers

 

You don't put in any effort... it'll just be like the beginning. 

 

Anyways, to my friends who are still friends with me after all these years… be it 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or more…

Heehee.. i suck at chess. This kind of tactical game involves too much forward-thinking. (I prefer to live my life a day at a time)

 

BUT the game in sister's new lappy looks quite fun la... and bro makes it look so easy.
